Cultivation Goal: Clear Concise Understanding
"Clear Concise Understanding" as goal is all well and fine, but what is the problem with this as a goal? THE GOAL IS TOO BIG.
Inflating the above is that "clear, concise understanding" is very desirable in every situation. My recommendation is to prioritise on the important relationships first: me -> partner, me -> family, me -> work family.
Everywhere matters, because every situation matters. A reminder to all: Keep forgiveness ready, because practising through repetition means soo many more mistakes than wins at the start.
Refine experience with the following strategy:
- Clear: use simple, easy words, understood by all that you are talking to
- Concise: Good grammar helps with clarity. Examples include Shorter sentences, and using simple steps. (Yes, clear and concise overlap a little in meaning.
- Understanding: Context of an interaction may be never mentioned or even missed. The easiest method to isolate the subject of the interaction is to simply listen and observe awhile.
Refine "Win+Win"
My original comprehension around win+win was Stephen Covey's #4 found within his book, "The 7 Habilts of Highly Effective People" ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_7_Habits_of_Highly_Effective_People#4_-_Think_win-win )
But tonight, my "lazy" body received the idea of layering on a few positives. Such as. "My goal, or desire, is to give back to my work family." An example of how to do that may be to pick up a 'housecleaning' task such as unloading the workplace dishwasher.
